Adults get to play, build and drink at new pop up Legobar

Following on from last year's announcement that Legoland Discovery Centre was going to ban adults, comes a Lego experience for Adults Only.

Legobar is a pop-up bar built entirely from Lego, and it's coming to Melbourne.

This Legobar, the first of its kind, will consist of over 1 million blocks, transported and assembled into the ultimate nostalgia trip. The bar will feature sculptures made completely from lego bricks as well as an abundance of blocks for people to shape into their own creations. There will also be local DJ’s spinning tunes all day.

Made from over 1 Million bricks and filled with items made out of the fabled, dimpled, plastic substance, adults will be able to 'build their own masterpieces while listening to local DJs lay down tracks, all day.'

EARLIER: Legoland Discovery Centre, the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere, opened in Melbourne this week.

But adults are angry they were not allowed inside its "discovery centre" without being accompanied by a child.

Melbourne Radio's 3AW was told LEGOLAND would ban adults from visiting the Chadstone store alone.

The store has since confirmed it would not permit entry into the discovery centre to groups of adults, adult couples, or lone adults, who are not accompanied by a child or children under the age of 16.

It says its "primary objective is to provide a safe and fun attraction for families with children to enjoy together."

Management said it would host "regular evening events specifically for adults" to cater for demand.

The store ois now open
