Russell or Mark? Result within days
The seat of Morwell is still up in the air ten days after the state election.
The Victorian Electoral Commission says they're counting and checking preferences, with a declaration still possibly one or two days away.
At the moment the two-party preferred vote slightly favours sitting member Russell Northe ahead of Labor's Mark Richards, but the final result could go either way.
Meanwhile the Nationals’ have voted for continuity, re-electing Peter Walsh as Leader and Steph Ryan as Deputy Leader of the Victorian Parliamentary Party.
Both were elected by the Party Room uncontested for their respective positions.
Mr Walsh said The Nationals will continue to work with local communities to give them a strong voice in the Parliament and put regional issues onto the government’s agenda.
“The Nationals will be a united and dedicated voice for rural and regional Victoria in the State Parliament, fighting for a better deal for country communities including on education, health, rail, roads and jobs,” Mr Walsh said.
