Smoke impacts Orbost in calm conditions

Smoke continues to linger in the air around Orbost due to planned burns in the area and calm weather conditions.

A large fuel reduction burn is continuing at Partellis Crossing Road, around 15 kms west of Orbost, and a smaller one was ignited yesterday 10 km north of the town.

Forest Fire Management Victoria has repeated its call to people with health conditions to follow their prescribed treatment plan from their doctor.

They say smoke may also be experienced by drivers on the Princes Highway.
